glpk-utils software package provides linear programming kit - utility files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install glpk-utils
glpk-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the glpk-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep glpk-utils *
You will get with glpk-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
